Concept illustration

Migrating enterprise access control means moving user records, permissions, schedules, and controller settings under a clear plan. Your team also needs to know who will own the administrator accounts. The transition should preserve an understandable access model while unsupported dependencies are replaced.

Part of Legacy Enterprise Security Migration.

Map equipment, identities, and permissions

Inventory controllers, readers, credentials, door interfaces, software, licenses, and integration dependencies. Check what your team can keep and which features the new system supports. Map the current permission structure to the target roles before importing users so obsolete groups and duplicate identities are not copied into the new system.

Plan coexistence and rollback

Define which system owns enrollment and changes during coexistence. Plan doors or buildings in waves, with approved temporary procedures and rollback conditions. Confirm how existing credentials work during the transition and whether mobile, elevator, gate, or anti-passback functions introduce special constraints.

Reconcile migrated access before retirement

Test representative door types, allowed and denied access, schedules, deactivation, offline behavior, and recovery. Compare the imported users and permissions with the approved plan. Verify customer administrator ownership and required records before retiring the legacy management platform.
