Define the property and operating boundary

Begin with the actual address, municipality, parcel or building boundary, tenant responsibilities, and authorized project representative. Map arrival, check-in, employee entry, dock assignment, receiving, storage, production where applicable, shipping, and departure. An image that looks acceptable at the recorder is not the whole requirement if authorized remote staff cannot obtain the record they need. Document storage, permissions, network dependencies, and known limitations.

Assign infrastructure before scheduling devices

Remote doors, gatehouses, detached storage, and exterior cameras need a defined power and communications plan. Identify who supplies pathways, cabling, switches, fiber, wireless links where appropriate, and approved network access. A connection between buildings does not by itself supply internet service or an independent backup route.

Keep active alarm and monitoring transitions within an agreed test and restoration procedure.
