An enterprise visitor workflow links the steps from arrival to departure: check the visit, contact the host, and grant approved access. Agree on who does each task before linking the visitor platform, intercom, and access-control system.
Part of Unified and Integrated Security Systems.
Define approval and temporary access
Identify the visitor’s host, the person reviewing arrival, and the approved visit record. State where the visitor may go and when that permission ends. Decide whether the intercom is for conversation only or whether an approved staff member may also unlock the door. Confirm which records and actions the supported interfaces exchange and who can see them.
Handle absent hosts and failed connections
Plan for an absent host, an expired visit, a visitor arriving at another site, a failed directory connection, and unavailable remote staff. Define a local fallback that follows the organization’s approved visitor policy. Do not allow a convenient integration to create indefinite credentials or unreviewed access to additional facilities.
Test arrival through checkout
Test a booked visit and a walk-in arrival. Check identity as the system supports, then test approved entry, denied entry, expiry, and checkout. Check the camera view, intercom connection, staff permissions, and event record. Confirm that temporary access ends on time. Keep visitor records under your approved policy.
